Monsoon II (4K)
Blog, Video timelapse, video, video-extra, video-paesaggio
I’ve been chasing the monsoon in Arizona for about 6-7 years now. This summer was different though. Back in late July, I was wondering why it felt like I was out chasing more than ever before. And then I remembered. I had a job last summer. This year I didn’t. I went full-time photography in November of 2014 and haven’t looked back.
I was free to roam and had virtually no limitations. I even had multiple chases where I never actually wend to bed, but instead chased all night. I took the kids to New Mexico at one point early in the season.[…]
Monsoon | a time-lapse film
Blog, Video timelapse, video, video-extra, video-paesaggio
All summer long when I’m chasing storms, I’m also time-lapsing. It’s actually my main goal when I’m out there. A clip here and a clip there. Some days you get nothing great, some days you get SIX amazing scenes in a single afternoon. A powerful rain shaft. An intense hail core dump. Shelf clouds. Dust storms. Lightning. The Milky Way. That’s what I’m capturing out here in Arizona between June 15th and September 30th every year, which is our official monsoon window. And this is the result of all that time spent. […]
Colorado – A Living Landscape in Fall 4K
Blog, Video video, video-paesaggio
For the 8 years I’ve lived in Colorado, I’ve been most enthralled by the short but incredible fall foliage season in the high country. I’ve experienced the magnificent autumn colors of the East Coast and Midwest, but nothing for me has compared to the scenes of massive mountains rising from stunning forests of gold-covered aspens. For the past 5 years of filming, I’ve had this moment in my head, a finished time-lapse piece that turns Colorado’s extraordinary fall landscapes into living art. Some years I only came away with a couple good sequences, others a lot more, and finally after this season I felt I had the work I needed to produce my vision. Please enjoy this short film that embodies everything I love about my state.

For my second aerial film, entitled ‘Wild Scotland’, I wanted to showcase some of the wilderness this magnificent country has to offer. From the Highlands and Islands on the west coast to John O’Groats and North Berwick on the east I’ve captured just a fraction of the stunning wilderness which Scotland has to offer. […] (John Duncan)
Beautiful Scotland – Aerial / Drone Showreel
Blog, Video scotland, video, video-extra, video-paesaggio
Over the past 8 or so months I’ve travelled around Scotland usually getting up at offensively early times to get good light. I wanted to make a film which really shows what a beautiful country Scotland is. Living in Edinburgh we’re fortunate to have some truly magnificent sights on our doorstep.
Filming this has been incredible, most of the shots have involved some kind of adventure. From camping on top of Sgurr a’Mhaim as the sun sets, driving overnight to the Old man of Storr on Skye catching the sun rise and stomping through fields chasing the Jacobite Steam Train.
Shot on a DJI Phantom 2 with a Gopro 3+ (with FPV) this little Quadcopter is quite incredible. It allows you to get shots that a helicopter couldn’t even get into. […]

A celebration of the wilder parts of Scotland in autumn. A compilation of time lapse videos made over the last few months stravaiging around the Isle of Skye, Ayrshire, Argyll, the Cairngorms and Assynt. There was some nice snow as autumn tipped into early winter and I even managed to make my first underwater time lapse :-) […]
